I grew up on DS9 (from the age of 11 or so), so I'm used to Star Trek not exactly being all-ages. I mean, technically DS9 was, but there were definitely some things that, looking back, I'm like "Wow, is that why I'm a bit tweaked in the head?" On the other hand, I was a very emotionally young 11 in some ways.

I don't honestly mind it not being the most family-friendly show in the world, but I can definitely see how that would be tough for people who have small children.
